The Modern Prometheus - performed by Marianne Broadfoot, Joanna Tobin and Clare Kahn
Katherine Rawlings

Performance Directions

It should be assumed that dynamics change suddenly unless accompanied by crescendo or diminuendo markings.

Program Note

The title: The Modern Prometheus is the alternate name for the book Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. My brother Andrew Rawlings came up with this title, as a reflection of what he imagined when he listened to the music.

Performance Information

The Modern Prometheus was first performed by David Pietsch, Natalie Williams and Claire Vincent in ‘Composers 2001: New Works by Katherine Rawlings, Damien Mizzi and Tony Tenace’ at Melba Hall, The University of Melbourne, Parkville, on the 25th of October 2001.
