Program Note
The title: The Modern Prometheus is the alternate name for the book Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. My brother Andrew Rawlings came up with this title, as a reflection of what he imagined when he listened to the music.
Performance Information
The Modern Prometheus was first performed by David Pietsch, Natalie Williams and Claire Vincent in ‘Composers 2001: New Works by Katherine Rawlings, Damien Mizzi and Tony Tenace’ at Melba Hall, The University of Melbourne, Parkville, on the 25th of October 2001.
