While there is not a lot of variation in the notes that are used in the piece, the time signature of the piece changes frequently and the rhythms are quite varied, unusual and a little tricky. There are also a lot of articulation and dynamics that need to be observed. For this reason, I would not recommend this piece for a beginner pianist. It would suit to an intermediate level of proficiency (around Grade 3 A.M.E.B.)
Program Note
The Jumps Hunt is a fun and lively piece about a rabbit, a guinea pig, and a fox. It was written by my 9-year-old daughter Genevieve. I transcribed the music exactly as she played it, so that it wouldn’t be forgotten and so that others could also enjoy learning it.
