Marianne Rothschild

Marianne is currently a freelance violinist having played with many orchestras including The Australian Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria and Tasmanian Symphony. She is currently leading the Zelman Memorial Orchestra and about to launch into a leadership position with the new online streaming orchestra Australian Discovery Orchestra. She is in the process of organising a series of performances of The Juliet Letters by Elvis Costello for string quartet and voice. 

Marianne launched her first duo CD with pianist Glenn Riddle in 2014 which has been broadcast on ABC FM, Radio National, Radio New Zealand and 3 MBS FM. They have since had their debut performance at the Melbourne Recital Centre. She is passionate about music education and has started a music scholarship program at Coburg West Primary School for children to start learning musical instruments, often they will be supported through the scholarship program if the families can't afford full fees for lessons. She also teaches at Strathmore Secondary College and Greenhills Primary School.
